Auckland Region Programme and Information
These workshops are now delivered in the Auckland region by Strategic
Expertise Ltd. (The AUT Business Faculty no longer runs the short courses that these used to be part of)

Times: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm,
Costs: $660 plus GST = $ 742.50 per two day workshop
Dress: Comfortable - as we have work to do.
Meals: Welcome coffee, morning and afternoon teas are provided at the venue. We stroll (5 mins) to a local Devonport restaurant where lunch is provided

These workshops are run very regularly as a relaxed and highly interactive group in our attached home. (numbers limited to 8 Max but typically 5 or 6). We do have the option of a larger venue in the Devonport Village but to date have not used it - we will let you know prior to each course if there is a change of venue
Getting here by ferry: Catch the 8.15 am Devonport ferry (timetable) from the Downtown Auckland ferry terminal, arrive Devonport at 8.25am, then a 10 min stroll up Victoria Street
(The main Street) gets you to Hastings Parade on left. (Coffee will be on so we can relax together prior to the 9.00am start)
Getting here by car: Take the Esmond Road exit (second after the Bridge and follow signs to Devonport. Hastings Parade is on the right almost opposite the Presbyterian church (adjacent to Mt Victoria - before you drop down the hill into Devonport)
Airport Connections: Take a Shuttle direct to Devonport or The Airport Flyer bus ( $22 return) which leaves from outside the domestic terminal for the city every 20 mins, get off at the Ferry Downtown ferry terminal and take the Devonport Ferry ( $7 return) which leaves every half hour.
Accommodation in Devonport: For a uniquely Devonport experience call the Devonport Information Centre (click on accomodation for listings) Ph (09) 446 0677 who will find you a special Bed and Breakfast or similar.
The Ducks Crossing Cottage B&B is about 1.5 km north of the Village on half hourly bus routes to the ferry. The tariff per night for one person is $70 including breakfast and a family style evening meal can be provided for $10. It is a 1 km stroll through a park along the harbours edge to Hastings Parade.
You could try Devonport Motel (very close to Ferry ) Ph (09) 445-1010 who have units at $130 per night(breakfast not included but available in main street).
Relaxing in Devonport. There is plenty to do in the evenings see www.devonport.co.nz or www.northshorenz.com which also lists accommodation.
The last ferry to Devonport (running half hourly - see timetable) leaves at 11.00pm so if you are a night owl you might like to consider vacation apartments (eg Waldorf Apartment) or backpackers (eg Nomads) in the Downtown Auckland area, just a short walking distance from the Devonport ferry terminal.

As we focus on growing collaborative projects, we recommend that if possible you bring along a colleague (perhaps even partners you may work with) as this will give you great support and leverage when you get back into your work situation. On these workshops we challenge conventional organisational thinking that could be holding all back.

This provides a more specific mentoring opportunity - for example tutoring in the use of the tools covered including the application of MSProject if appropriate. We have allocated a one day slot after each of ourr two day workshops particularly for those who may have travelled from out of Auckland. Costs will be $100 per hour plus GST which is split across those choosing to attend.
These application days can be run at any time that suits, either in our premises in Devonport, your premises our anywhere around the Country ( travel costs accommodation and time added)
